Roosevelt has a big celebration the first weekend in August. I was pretty impressed what a little town can put together. They have all kinds of activities. It reminds me of Cowdays. Nora participated in the talent show (which included dance groups, cheerleaders, singing and tumbling), she danced in her bumble bee costume. They also have a concert followed by fireworks. We went to the concert and then drove home to watch the fireworks from our backyard with our friends Josh, Liz and Lily This years concert was Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband and Whiskey Falls. Ryan Shupe sings “Dream Big” which was the only song that I have maybe heard before. I’m going to put it in my play list if anyone wants to listen to it. My favorite song was “Corndogs”. It made us HUNGRY!
Corn dogs, corn dogs they are so good to me
Corn dogs, corn dogs they are so good to me
Good when they’re hot, good when they’re cold
Good when they’re fresh, good when they’re old
Corn dogs, corn dogs. They are so good to me
