Yesterday we all went sledding. The first couple of times Ernie went he bit the snow, but he finally figured it out. Hallie was not as excited about sledding at first, she had gotten some snow in her face and didn't want anymore to do with it until her mom (Katya) went down then she thought it looked fun again and gave it a try. It worked out best if someone rode in front of her to keep the snow out of her face. The girls would race each other, and were really aware of the other kids on the hill. Every time I would sled I would just laugh like a little kid. I can't even remember the last time I went sledding.
Christmas has come and gone. We had a really nice Christmas here at our house. My sister Katya and her daughter Hallie are hear visiting. We delivered cookies to some of our friends and neighbors. It was fun watching all the kids open up their presents. I think they all did really well this year. My girls all bought presents for each other and for Hallie. They did a great job finding things that she loves. Aside from everyone having a cold it has been a good time. I am looking forward to the new year and what it has in store for our family.

Ho.Ho.Ho.

We went and had breakfast with Santa on Saturday. Afterwards the girls all sat on Santa's lap. I'm really happy that Audrey doesn't think she is to old to do that, she did sit on the arm of the chair at first but Santa told her to sit on his lap, so she did.

Oh Christmas Tree.

We got our Christmas tree put up. For my birthday I got a nice collection of Hummel ornaments. I asked the girls if I could just decorate with those, they were a little upset but we compromised and they put up our yearly ornaments also.

For Thanksgiving the girls and I went to Missouri to spend time with my family. We were able to go to Silver Dollar City to see the Christmas lights. The Old time Christmas is my favorite time to go. The whole place is lit up with Christmas lights. There is a train ride that takes you around the town and stops during the middle for a Christmas story with Grandpa. We had tons of hot chocolate and wassail. I love when they do the tree lighting. We watched it 3 times. My sister Katya went with us. We really had a good time.
