My Truck Driver

E has been truck driving over the road since he lost his job. He started his own water trucking company back in October and in March things went down hill and fast. Since then E has started hauling cattle over the road. He spends most of his time on the west coast in California and Idaho. He was gone for 32 days before he made it home for the first time. It is deffinelty a hard thing for us to be doing right now but he needs a job. The girls miss him terribly while he is gone and I struggle to be patient with them. We were very glad that he made it home for Father's Day so that we could show our love and appreciation for him and everything he does for our family. And to top it off he left 2 weeks after my surgery so I have been a single mom while recovering from a hysterectomy. And trying to keep up with the girls activites. I am glad he is home for a little while and we can spend some much needed time together.

Soccer tournaments

A has been playing on a tournament team this year. They went to 2 different tournaments. The first one their team took 3rd place the other one the didn't do so good. Some of our other teams did really well. at the first one we brought home two 1st places, a 2nd and 3rd. The second tournament we brought home a 1st, and two 2nd places. I think all of hte kids had a good time and I really thankful to the coaches who dedicate so much time to helping the kids. A plays mostly defense and gets to kick alot of the goal kicks. I was able to get some good pictures that way.

T-ball

N played t-ball for the first timethis year. She really enjoyed it but would get bored at times. Kids ranged from 3 to 6 so with her being one of the oldest she lost interest when they would work with the little kids. It was fun to watch her and I enjoy watching them do new things.

One thing I am trying to be more patient with is letting the girls help me cook. It helps when they make it entertaining. N loves to help and alwaya wants to dress up. I love my little cowgirl baker

Fantasy Canyon

We went to Fantsy Canyon ans had a really good time. Fantasy Canyon is the official designation of an area composed of unique erosional features. The rocks of Fantasy Canyon were deposited during a geologic time period known as the Eocene Epoch. The age of the rocks date from about 38 to 50 million years ago. Some boys have done their Eagle scout projects out there, so one made a trail marked with stone another marked what sone of the rocks looked like and where to look. We were sad that Ernie wasn't able to be there with us because he was out on the road but we enjoyed our time together just the girls.

Schools out!

On the last day of school A and M ran in a mini marathin at school. They ran 3 miles. they had a really good time doing this. A ran it in 31minutes 41 seconds and M ran it in 34 minutes 36 seconds. I had told A after she did it last year that I would run it with her this year, but I ended up having surgery just 2 weeks before the run so I was unable to do that with her. I went up to watch them. I met them at the half way point to give them water and to cheer them on. I am so proud of them and I hope they keep up the running.

I am trying to keep a little schedule this summer. It seems that every summer the girls stay up late every day and sleep in and they don't read or want to help around the house. I have come up with a small chore chart and activities to do during the week. On Mondays we go to the library, Tuesdays the park, Wednesday a local attraction, Thursday pick an activity from a jar and Fridays are free days. Every day during the week they have a free lunch program at the park and we go to that if the girls get their chores done.
