Substituting

I have been substituting lately. I have really enjoyed going back to work. I have only done half days which I REALLY like. I still have time to get things done around the house so I don't feel overwhelmed. I have substituted in 1st,2nd,3rd and highschool Algebra and Pre- Algebra. My favorite class has been the 2nd graders. They were wonderful. I DID NOT like the high school and almost left crying. I am so scared for Audrey to go to High School. As soon as I left the high school I called Ernie and told him my concerns. As of right now we are consindering home schooling. At first it started out that I would only home school them when they got to high school but now they all want to do it. I am the most concerned with Nora. She is such a free spirit, I'm not sure I will be able to keep her on task. She listens really well to her teacher, but with me its like I'm killing her when I ask her to do something. School is just so different now then when I went. I know that I can not protect them forever, but some of the things that go on at school are SCARY. There is a third grader that has thretened to kill kids. 3RD Grade! Do I really want my kids to have to deal with that kind of stuff? I have told them that if we do this it will be on a trial basis, if they are not staying on task they will have to go back to school, I will have no other choice.
I am open to any advice.

Hang in there. It's a hard decision, but whatever you decide to do, it will be the right decision for your family. So glad to have gotten to know your family!

I recently started subbing as well. I am really enjoying it! I feel that it helps me know all the students and what goes on in each school. Whatever you decide will be best for your family. Pray!
